The English Shotokan Karate Association 2008 kata competition took place on Saturday 8th November at the Stevenage Hombu. A large number of contestants entered from across the association ensuring that every category was filled.

Members of the Potton, Sandy and Clifton Shotokan Karate Clubs took part and came back with a number of medals.

Medal winners were as follows;

Junior Red & Blue Belt Kata:
1st - Jade Smith (Clifton)
3rd - Megan Roles (Sandy)

Junior Orange Belt Kata:
1st - Daniel Smith (Clifton)

Junior Green & Green/White Belt Kata:
3rd - Charlie Langley (Sandy)

Junior Team Kata:
1st - Charlotte Fielding, Daniel Smith & Jade Smith (Clifton)

Adult White & Blue Belt Kata:
1st - David Ellis (Potton)
3rd - Sarah Langley (Sandy)

Adult Red & Orange Belt Kata:
2nd - Jo Morris (Potton)
3rd - Jamie Hardiman (Sandy)

Adult Team Kata:
2nd - Lewis Griffiths, Vicky Byford & Sensei Richard Scoot (Potton)
