Sensei Richard Scoot   SENSEI RICHARD SCOOT
Richard began training in 1991 under Sensei Michael Nursey at the Sandy Shotokan Karate Club.

Current Rank: Yondan (Awarded November 2006)

Began teaching: 1993 and qualified as an EKGB Qualified Instructor in 1995. In October 1995 Richard opened his own club in Potton and then in 1997 took over the Sandy club. In 1997 Richard became an Association Judge for Kumite.

In September 2004 Richard travelled to Tokyo, Japan, where he trained at Hirokazu Kanazawa Kancho 10th Dan SKIF Hombu Dojo in Kugahara.

In 2007 Richard moved to Clifton where he then opened the Clifton Shotokan Karate Club.

Sensei Vicky Byford   VICKY BYFORD
Vicky began training in October 1995 when the Potton Shotokan Karate Club was first opened. After training hard over the next five years, she was the first student to be awarded their 1st Dan grade from the Potton Shotokan Karate Club.

Current Rank: Nidan (Awarded November 2004).

Began teaching: January 1999 and qualified as an EKGB Qualified Instructor in April 2002.

Simon Howard   SIMON HOWARD
Simon began training at the Sandy Shotokan Karate Club in 2003. He now regularly trains at both the Sandy and Potton Shotokan Karate Clubs.

Current Rank: 1st Kyu sho.

Began teaching: May 2007 at the Clifton Shotokan Karate Club where he is training to become a qualified instructor.

Andy Smith   ANDY SMITH

Andy began training as a junior in Luton but stopped when he went to High School. In March 2006 he decided to start training again and joined the Potton Shotokan Karate Club. He now regularly trains at both the Sandy and Potton Shotokan Karate Clubs.

Current Rank: 2nd Kyu sho.

Began teaching: January 2008 at the Clifton Shotokan Karate Club where he is training to become a qualified instructor.
