Potton and Sandy Karate Clubs attended the summer dinner and dance where three members from Potton & Sandy clubs revcieved their Dan grade certificates.

Sensei Farah Malik, Nidan

On Saturday 12th May Farah Malik of the Sandy Shotokan Karate club attempted her 2nd Dan Black Belt at the English Shotokan Karate Associations Black Belt grading. After five gruelling hours Farah impressed the seven strong grading panel and passed with flying colours showing true karate Spirit, determination and good application of technique. Farah showed excellent spirit throughout the grading and thoroughly deserved to pass.

Sempai's Tom Ray & Lewis Griffiths, Shodan

On Friday 29th June 2007 Thomas Ray & Lewis Griffith of the Potton & Sandy Shotokan Karate Clubs were awarded their Shodan (1st Dan) Black Belt grades at the English Shotokan Karate Association's summer ball after passing their Black belts earlier in the year. Both boys have been training with Sensei Richard Scoot 4th Dan for a very long time and they thoroughly deserve their grades after many years of dedication and a fantastic display of courage and effort on their grading days.
